In honor of reducing the amount of crap I own, I am culling my library. Also, because I just unpacked a box of old books that I haven't missed in over 2 years. All I ask is that you pay shipping. Some of these suckers are heavy.

digital design books
  • TTL Data Book (Texas Instruments) the classic 1981 edition.
  • AMD 29xx Programmer's Reference
  • Motorola 68020 Programmers Reference
  • Microelectronics (Millman) -- Textbook for an EE microcircutry course ... tells you what's inside those chips.
Programming books
  • Microsoft C (still in shrinkwrap)
  • Microsoft QuickBasic
  • Computer Design (textbook)
  • PageMaker 6 User's Guide (I'll throw the software in for this, too if you want it)
Hard science/Math books
  • chemical engineering thermodynamics
  • Design of Physical Networks (not computer networks, but stuff you can model with LRC circuits)
  • Fluidic System Design
  • Principles of Holography
  • 2 different Chemistry 101/102 textbooks (one with additional problems book)
  • Reactions Under Plasma Conditions, Vol 1 and 2
  • Calculus and Analytic Geometry (Advanced HS level)
  • Differential Equations
  • Biological Science (HS Bio book)
Popular Science books
  • Predatory Dinosaurs of the World (paperback) - I have 2 copies of this for some reason. It's a nice book
BS books:

  • Ultimate Power Trips (or whatever the real title is) by Anthony Robbins. Maybe I'll just toss that in the compost bin. Someone gave that book to me. I know I didn't spend my hard-earned money on it.
  • Advertising (and its role in modern marketing) - college textbook (shudder).

If you want more details about any of the books, let me know. They are currently in the basement, and the computer's on the second floor. All the books are in at least "good" condition.  Some are "like new". Be forewarned that I was in High School and College in the 1970's, so these books are pretty old.  The math and basic Chemistry stuff is probably still "up to date".

I will wait 3 weeks, and then the books are off to the recycling center.

Watch this space for  more book giveaways on various subjects as I sort through things. I'm not quite ready to part with my SF collection, but I think it's time to divest myself of some of this detritus.

voxwoman, you get like 800 +'s added to your cool rating. It's a byte register so it overflowed a couple of times and is now sort of randomized.

First beg, first dibs? I'll gladly pay shipping for the 68020 book because it just sounds dang interesting (I've written some toy emulators in the past), the Computer Design book for about the same reason, the Tony Robbins book because I'm sort of a slut with it comes to the Robster....

And. Um. ALL of the books you listed there Hard science/Math books. Is there a checkout limit? Am I being too greedy? :-) They'd get a good home--I dropped out of college, and had to teach myself physics, engineering dynamics, and calculus by reading books.

Since the other first person to contact me (via email) asked for a list of completely different books, I can grant both your requests. (I will edit the list shortly and strike out what's already been spoken for).

And no, there's no limit to the quantity that I'll ship, as long as the shipping's covered.

So, if you want some more of them, just ask. :-)

I will need your shipping address (you can email me privately at this nickname at gmail).

I wouldn't mind having the microelectronics and diff eq books. And, if nobody else claims it, I'll even take the calculus book.

Advertising and it's Role in Marketing. How old is it? Is it full of BS like the ones I read in college? My interest is peaked.

It's probably from 1979 or 1980. It's the class where I learned that you don't need to be "right" if you can BS good enough, and if you have an ego you can get an A.
