The Problem with FIngerless Gloves

is that they don't have fingers! Brr!

I thought getting fingerless gloves would ease some of the cold-hands issues I get in the winter. I just have to remember they are for inside use only!

In other news, one of my coworkers has quit. Today is his last day. This saddens me for several reasons: 

1. I am "inheriting" all his work. Now I have to do the work of 2. The projects he has are also annoying and fraught with problems.
2. He has raised snarking to a high art form. There was much hilarity in the office on a daily basis. The three of us could have made quite the comedy writing team, if we were in California instead of New Jersey.
3. He was the nearest thing to a geek that we have in this office. He turned me on to Avatar; I turned him on to Futurama (he was aware of it peripherally, but did not realize its greatness until I pointed it out to him. We could discuss Star Trek and other SF films/TV shows that would zoom over the heads of pretty much anyone else here.

Aside from this sadness, and the other insanity going on here (he's not the only person to quit this place in the last week, believe it or not), I am really looking forward to 4 days of not thinking about this place. Not looking forward to tomorrow, which I anticipate being a logistics nightmare, but I plan to have some enjoyment over my Thanksgiving Weekend.

I will figure out what the heck I'm thankful for by tomorrow. Promise.

I need a pair of fingerless gloves for the office. In summer, not winter. My desk is right below an air conditioning vent, and while the rest of me is fine my fingers turn to icicles while I type. I think fingerless gloves would be just the thing. *puts it on list for post holiday knitting*
