The new work schedule
May. 5th, 2009 07:42 amSo this is week 2 of the abbreviated work schedule. It's really strange turning Tuesday into my "virtual Monday" but I am getting used to it. Sort of. I really like having the feel of a 3-day weekend. I may be getting more accomplished - I'm not sure, but it feels that way.
I certainly feel as if I'm much more relaxed, and I don't feel guilty about "taking a day for me" and just relaxing and not doing chores or things on my To Do list.
Boy, this post is getting all touchy-feely...
I figure by June I will fall into my new routine and can really start to accomplish the things on my list that have been of a low enough priority to never get started. I'd really like to finish my CS3 tutorials that I invested close to 200 dollars in the books, before I go upgrade to CS4. I will have to make a proper business case for the upgrade, too.
DIdn't get the planting done because of the huge amounts of rain falling all weekend. I might catch a break tomorrow and depending on how I feel when I get home from work Wednesday, I may put the beans, squash and cukes into the ground. I probably won't be able to do the tomatoes and peppers until next month, but they need to be transferred into larger pots I also have to put in the carrots and find sunflower and onion seeds (which I forgot to get when I put my seed order in). I want some sunflowers in the front yard - they looked spectacular the couple of times I did it at the old house..
