"Snow Day"
Feb. 10th, 2010 08:58 amIt's snowing and there's a goodly amount outside, making all the bare trees very pretty, and damping the sound of the commuter trains and keeping most traffic off the road in front of my house. However, I still have to work, and I still have a book due this afternoon. I'd much rather be doing other things around the house, but money must be earned....

I mean, we live in the "snow north" for goodness sake and we haven't seen a spec of snow since October. And then, EVERYONE north of the Mason Dixon (practically) is getting bombed with snow and they were predicting that we'd have snow all night and I get up this morning and there's nothing but a little sugar dust. *pout*
HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GO SKIING IN THAT????!!!
(Of course, Vancouver has bigger problems. Apparently, they're trucking/flying snow up the Rockies for goodness sake.)

And it's snowing here, too. Not really pretty, though. Its heart isn't in it any longer. Just enough to make life difficult for people. We're awfully done with that winter thing...
