Something goes smoothly, for once

So about 2 weeks ago, I was visiting one of my meatspace friends and one of their children managed to shatter my moonroof with a basketball. This was the same night that we managed to capture Luna so it was rather a "busy" night. Luckily, my auto insurance handled my claim instantaneously and my car was back in my possession in a week (after driving a Chevy Equinox that stank of cigarettes for a week, but the entire rental was also covered by my auto policy and I won't see a bill for that). This morning, I was contacted by an adjuster from the insurance company that holds the Homeowner's policy for my friend, and they are issuing me a check, today, for my entire deductible.  So all of this gets resolved with no one out of pocket any money and friendships intact. This is why you have insurance in the first place. Finally something is handled the way it's supposed to be, and everyone is polite and efficient. And I won't have to go on Judge Judy.
