and I'll be emailing it to the publisher on Monday. I also need to write a "back cover blurb"... Hopefully I'll figure something out before the weekend's over.

It's a romance novel, 64,000 words in length (which I guess is rather short in today's terms), and, like all these genre novels, it's rather predictable who's going to wind up with whom, and yet, there were tears in my eyes by the last chapter.

I don't remember if I read this one when it was in draft form (when I usually read mom's manuscripts - in time for me to offer any advice or critiques that may change something) - I doubt that I did, because it was published shortly after I gave birth, so I was probably too busy to help... In any case I didn't really remember it.

My question for everyone is about audio books: I own the rights to the audiobook versions of all her books, and I intend to start reading and recording them. I need at least 5 titles before Audible.com will be willing to hear from me, and that's going to take probably at least a year to get done, considering all the other irons in the fire right now.

In the meantime, do you think starting a podcast where I read a chapter at a time and offer it for free is worthwhile? Do you think it would help promote the books and increase sales of the eBooks and whatever printed books are still in print? And should I start with the books that are going to be published as ebooks or start on books that are OOP and won't be available for a while?

I have no idea....

Since I'm not really into romance novels, I'd say no. But I'm obviously not in the target group anyway.
Ask this at some romance novel lover forum, maybe?
