Under the Knife
Nov. 17th, 2011 02:56 pmWell, don't think I'll be using the expression "I'd rather stick needles in my eyes" for a long time to come, because that's exactly what's going to happen to me tomorrow afternoon. Also knives and bits of plastic. I'm getting my first cataract removed. Yes, I'm a bit nervous about it, because it IS surgery, after all, and it's my EYE. I have to be awake for the procedure, but they have promised to give me drugs to put me in such a happy place that I don't care what they stick in my eye.
In other news, I've discovered that it's been consistent for the past 2 days that 10% of the people who download the Tarot book will also buy a printed copy. I find that to be an interesting statistic. I also have version 2 of the printed tarot book (with the typos and not the errata page) from Cafe Press, and it looks very good and I'm pretty damned proud of myself. The remaining tarot decks aren't exactly flying off the shelves as I had expected, but I also don't have them in my posession yet. And I have just reminded myself that I need to call the printer and see if they've cleared customs yet. www.caboosterkit.com for all this stuff.
