We joined AOL waaaay back when they had just cracked their first 100,000 subscribers. Got rid of it years ago when I became internet savvy enough to not need a portal to be comfortable surfing the intertubes. :-)
It was a good thing back in the day when the web was young, but it's a bit of a dinosaur now.
Forgot to mention - spelling stupidity is becoming endemic. Check out the story text on the local newscasts - heck, the 24 hour news channels are just as bad.
