On More Solid Ground
Aug. 14th, 2007 05:25 pmOur realtor had another buyer "on deck" and we have another offer. This one is much more solid, with 1000 down now, and another 29K in 10 days. Real 10% cash down. The sales price isn't fabulous, but it's basically the same as the deal we were working under that fell through. She said something about "he's going to remodel the whole thing" so the buyer (a single guy, apparently) is aware of the "as is" nature of the house. I don't want to know if he's going to demolish our new kitchen (but if he is, I'd come in and remove the cabinets for him, LOL. I'd put them in this kitchen in a heartbeat). Makes me wonder if we wasted the money redoing the floors, but he'd be an idiot to rip up Chestnut floors.
Keep appendages crossed that this deal goes to closing. (and that my lawyer doesn't charge me double for all the extra work he's doing selling this house!)
