I think we're out of Atty Review on this deal

I spoke to my lawyer on the phone yesterday (and not his admin assistant - which is unusual - and he read me the atty review letter, which I was OK with, and he faxed it back to the other lawyer, and I think that means we're out of atty review, but I'm not sure.

He also mentioned that he knows this lawyer personally, which is a really good thing, and he also has a much better feeling about this contract than the others. He also said he is going to charge me something for the work he's done on the 3 deals that fell through, but not a whole lot. I think that's reasonable, since selling this house seems to be more work than a "standard" sale).

We have a tentative closing date of Friday, September 14. I will be so glad when this is over.

Today, we have to clean the house because the in-laws are coming over for a barbeque tomorrow.

On the up-side, the kid's room is looking really good, and it's only going to improve as we get window treatments that match her decor and not the crap the old owners left hanging in the windows, and the last piece of furniture (her desk) that is on back order. She has also reorganized it and sorted through her stuff without much prodding from me (woohoo), and has left a ginormous pile of Barbie and other doll stuff that now needs to find a home in the basement. And I can almost reclaim my sewing room again (it was temporary storage for the overflow of kid stuff during the redecoration). Which is a good thing, since I have a baby quilt to finish before my friend explodes.
