What to do with the empty desk in the basement?

I know... put the 12 billion candles I just unpacked in there, instead of cluttering up what little dining room storage I have with them. I suppose being a witchy Pagan gives me an excuse for all these candles, but it looks like I'm just getting ready for surviving the apocalypse. I have a ridiculous amount of candles... (yes, I spent the evening unpacking a few boxes of tchatchkes that have been sitting in my dining room since January. I still haven't quite figured out where to display the dish pack full of action figures yet, however, but I almost have a spot to unpack the marble chess set).

I tend to keep a few chemlights around as "apocalypse lighting". I'll be keeping that up in California; aside from the lack of "off switch", they're superior to candles for many reasons...

I personally wouldn't want those in these wonderfully posh rooms of your "downstairs", but that's probably just me....:-D.

Candles, on the other hand - those will do nicely! Maybe you should insist on sit down dinners after all ;-).
(Just joking, at least partly. We Europeans still make a habit of them, see...)

These are (for the most part) 15" "Barbie-doll" sized Babylon5 dolls, still in their boxes. Also a set of 6" size Babylon5 dolls (some in and some not in boxes). They used to be in my office, but there's not room for them in there now.
