What? The curtains?

voxwomanThe local fabric warehouse place has a 50% off sale this weekend, so the kid and I went there to get fabric for her window treatments (for her room remodel that seems to be running just a bit longer than I planned). I got her valences done (they look very nice, but I think we need new hardware to hang them properly), and I'm hoping to knock out her Roman shades on Sunday. I'd prefer to get them done tomorrow, but I have a sort of gig at the guitar player's BBQ at his house 2 hours from here. He lives in Pennsylvania. It's rather ridiculous. I really am not in the mood to do this gig, I'm supposed to be on vacation and this kind of thing doesn't feel like a vacation, it feels like work. (Why bending over a sewing machine for 12 hours at a time feels like a vacation is curious, but there you are). And I have to drag the family to this - having a social event with 30 or so complete strangers. Woo and Hoo.
I'm debating about whether to go back to the fabric store and get enough fabric to make shades for the downstairs, too. I think I should wait until the house is really sold, and the next sale is going on. Then I can figure out exactly what colors to put downstairs. it's going to be a madhouse there on the weekend, if Friday at lunchtime is any indication.
