Procrastination tip 12: Make a To Do list
Sep. 6th, 2007 10:54 amThis is ostensibly supposed to help eliminate procrastination, but when you make lists in order to avoid doing the things on the list (even for a few moments), isn't that aiding procrastination? In any case, this is what's on my plate for this month (Saturday nite edit):
- Sequence 5 songs for the gig on 9/22 (this sounds lke a no-brainer, but there are other things that must be done before 9/22 that will take up the time to get this done.
Attend coven retreat this coming weekend (Fri-Sun). Run 3 rituals during the weekend.Let Health Dept. do their final inspection of the house (Friday 9AM). Hopefully,it passes.- Tentative house closing date on 9/14
- Songwriting session on 9/15 (record a backing track for the 9/22 gig of a brand new song. Gah!)
Update draft of a manual (today!)- Start a new job on
Monday TuesdayWednesday (part time/overtime job to dovetail in between the current job I have) Laundry/ housecleaning / chores (these don't stop just because something else is going on)Dr. appt for Child on 9/11- R will take her so I can do #7 on the list- Dr. appt for Father
this month, too. Don't remember date or time. Bleargh.Monday 9/10 - Visit Father on Sundays
- Quilting
- Sewing window treatments
Update: CRAP!!! I have to take my dad to the Urologist on MONDAY. Which is also supposed to be the first day at my new frelling job! That's going to be a fun phone call. Sigh.
