Happiest of birthdays... but you do realize that now you are entitled to birthday MONTHS, right? From this birthday on, every December is now birthday month for you!! One of the perks of aging.

I, myself, turned 50 in Feb. I did fine with it, felt very accomplished... it is fifty-ONE that I am now dreading! ACK! Just realized that they keep on coming!!!

since the day fell on a monday, I entitled myself to a birthday weekend. I don't know that I can deal with the entire month of December being devoted to my birthday (nor could my husband - he's got a father, brother, sister and two nephews who also have birthdays this month - I'm just the first in the cascade).

But I have announced to the immediate family (and will spread the word shortly) that the preferred gift for me is FABRIC! LOL (at least now people can easily figure out what to get me, which was a big issue in the past). Even if it's something I already have, it's not something that a quilter can have too much of. Ever!
